Frequently Asked
Questions

Here you will find answers to the most common questions we get about our products and document scanning.

Q: Where can I buy PixEdit®?

A: You can buy PixEdit either through your Document Management System provider or from the Techsoft products distributor in your country. If there is no distributor in your country, you may purchase directly from Techsoft. For further information about pricing and availability, please contact our Sales Department.

Q: Can I install PixEdit or PixView silently in a logon script?

A: Yes. To install PixView or PixEdit without any prompts for input, use the following command line (from the folder in which the PixEdit/PixView setup program resides):

setup /S /v/qn

Q: I have problems installing the SCSI card for my scanner. Can Techsoft help me with this?

A: SCSI support issues are the responsibility of the scanner and SCSI board manufacturers. If you have questions or problems regarding SCSI hardware, we recommend that you contact the support department of your scanner distributor or manufacturer. For your convenience, however, we have put some useful hints and links about SCSI here.

Q: On your download page I can see that the current available version is newer than my own license. How can I find out what's new and where can I download the new version?

A: You will find a complete revision history on our Revision History page. If you have a maintenance contract, you may go directly to our maintenance server and download the latest version of PixEdit. Please use the link, your username and password you have received from Techsoft.
